Baxter is a 5 year old Aussie/Border Collie neutered male who loves his people and makes new friends quickly. He has adjusted easily to his foster home and is buddies with his foster brother, Clancy. They like playing tug-o-war until big sister Marley breaks up the fun. Baxter had been an "outdoor dog" and his beautiful coat has bleached, as you can see in the pictures, but will come back really well. He has the medium long coat, without a thick undercoat. Not a big fan of bathtime, but he stood there like a good boy for his flea bath and he likes being brushed. Housebroken, VERY good in the car, responds well, has simple commands (sit, down, come, stay). Just okay on a leash, needs to learn to stay back by your side. He's extremely interested in what's going on and is Aussie/Border Collie smart. He does chase cats, though.
Baxter would be a great buddy for someone who can spend time with him so he doesn't get bored. If you can take your dog to work with you, work at home, have a ranch or farm, he's your guy, for sure!
